Why Ukraine left Siversk: 20 km fiber-optic drones | Military Mind
Ukraine’s military command has explained why Ukrainian forces withdrew from the city of Siversk in the Donetsk region, stressing that the decision was made to save soldiers’ lives rather than concede territory.
Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi said Ukrainian infantry units were left increasingly exposed after Russia concentrated drone forces in the area, including fiber-optic-controlled UAVs with ranges exceeding 20 kilometers.
Join Benjamin Lee in a new episode of Military Mind to know more about how modern warfare is no longer decided by holding every street, but by controlling the air, terrain, and the survivability of troops.
