Scientists at the University of the Witwatersrand, who continue to push the boundaries, have developed an inhalable nanomedicine that delivers TB drugs directly to the lungs. Those behind the breakthrough say this will transform treatment and improve patient recovery rate. Despite the advanced stage of the study, researchers still have to jump through a few hoops.
