Sky News host warns against gender quotas after the recent parliament appointment
Sky News host Danica De Giorgio disapproves of gender quotas in parliament and believes the recent female appointments are proof that the traditional way is the superior way.
The Liberal Party is seeing a surge of women in leadership roles across various states, with Kelly Sloan’s recent appointment as New South Wales Opposition Leader.
“Almost everywhere across the country, women are now leading the party’s respected state branches,” Ms De Giorgio said.
“I find quotas offensive personally. But the point is, the Liberal Party was considering quotas after this year’s election loss.
“I think if this is not a warning to stick to conservative roots, nothing will ever stick.”
