Donald Trump on Haley Stevens’ Mike Rogers support: ‘I’d love her to join the Republican party’

Amid a close race for the US Senate in Michigan between Mike Rogers and Abdul El-Sayed, President Donald Trump praised Democrat Haley Stevens’ endorsement of Republican Mike Rogers during an Iowa rally.

Stevens’s support for Rogers came months after her primary loss against El-Sayed and just two days before Election Day.

“I don’t know Haley. I’ve never met Haley, but Haley said what few people are willing to say,” Trump said. “I think it probably I’d love her to join the Republican party actually. I think that could happen maybe.”
