Iran mocks Trump as nuclear weapons, Strait of Hormuz deals stall
President Trump says a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz could be just days away, but Iranian leaders are telling a very different story.
Iran’s parliament speaker took to social media to mock Trump’s shifting rhetoric, posting in part: “Massive attack coming… wait, never mind, they want to negotiate.”
Meanwhile, tensions are escalating elsewhere in the Middle East. Houthi strikes have killed dozens in Yemen, as the group threatens to expand its attacks across the Red Sea.
