#FIFA sparks backlash over World Cup #investment plan
FIFA is facing fresh criticism after unveiling plans to create a new commercial entity that would allow outside investors to buy a minority stake in its commercial operations. The proposal, which still requires approval from FIFA’s 211 member associations, has drawn backlash from football officials and UEFA, which warned that the governing body had “crossed a line that should never be crossed.”
