Mass retaliation hits Russia on Day One of Ukraine’s new army chief | Ukraine Brief
Ukrainian forces struck two warehouses overnight belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retail platform. Kyiv’s drones also targeted another 13 vessels belonging to Moscow’s “shadow fleet” in the Black and Azov Seas over the last 48 hours.
President Zelenskyy on Wednesday ousted the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, following days of protests across Ukraine calling for his removal. Mykhailo Drapatyi, previously head of Ukraine’s Joint Forces, has now been tapped to succeed Syrskyi.
This comes as Russian strikes across Ukraine have claimed the lives of at least 12 people over the last day.
