Zahid: Winnability will decide return of reinstated Umno leaders in upcoming general election

Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the party has yet to conduct any empirical study on the impact of reinstating leaders who were previously sacked, suspended or had left the party, adding that it would be premature to make any assessment as the reinstated leaders had not yet begun their grassroots engagement.

Ahmad Zahid said the prospects of fielding leaders who were previously expelled, suspended, or who had left the party in the upcoming general election will depend on their viability.
