Court challenge of legal sector B-BBEE code

Government has hit back at a landmark court challenge to the new B‑BBEE Legal Sector Code. It insists that Trade, Industry and Competition Minister, Parks Tau, complied with all legal requirements before gazetting the measures, and that tough transformation targets are needed to break decades‑long racial exclusion in the legal profession.
