PM: Australia has not changed its position on IS-linked families in Syria
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has told SBS the government has not changed its position on repatriating Australian women or children linked with the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) group who are in Syria’s al-Roj camp.
He said the children were “victims of their parents’ actions” but reiterated his government would not get involved or provide support for Australians trying to leave the camp.
