Enten: Trump gaining ground among Black voters

CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten notes that an aggregate of polls shows President Trump has gained ground with African-American voters over the same point in his first term, and that the proportion of Black voters who identify as Democrats has fallen by 12 percentage points in the same time.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court’s Wednesday opinion limiting the reach of the Voting Rights Act will make it much harder for voters of color to challenge redistricting plans that allegedly dilute the political power of minority communities.
