The suspect accused of opening fire inside the hotel hosting the White House Correspondent’s Dinner over the weekend is expected to appear in court Monday, as authorities piece together what led to the attack that forced President Donald Trump, top administration officials, the media and guests to evacuate from the annual gala.
In a White House press conference Monday, Karoline Leavitt called the event an “assassination attempt” against Trump.
