MP Jamus Lim used the idea of dividing a cake to show the difference in efficiency and fairness, arguing that some groups have a greater need for a private car. Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow rebutted by stating that the government’s priority is to support those who cannot own a car or users of public transport.
