Convicted gang rapist Michael Angok has faced court over his escape from detention.
The 30-year-old fled from Bankstown Hospital and remained on the run for five days before being arrested at a Seven Hills home.
Angok was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in a Doonside park in 2014.
