NYPD detective from Long Island who was shot in Queens released from hospital #newyork #police

Many NYPD officers and other well-wishers applauded as a narcotics detective from Long Island who was accidentally shot by colleagues attempting to stop a carjacking was released from Jamaica Hospital and Medical Center.

Det. Corey Fisher shook hands with his partner and waved to the crowd after he was pushed out of the hospital on a gurney and loaded into an NYPD ambulance.
