73-year-old driver reverses through parking lot and #crashes into #car wash
A 73-year-old driver caused a bizarre crash in the northern Polish city of Gdańsk after reversing across a parking lot, crashing into a car wash, and ending up on the roof of another car.
The incident happened in the Morena district. Footage shows the Skoda reversing out of a parking space at speed, crossing the parking area and crashing into parked vehicles before entering a self-service car wash.
The car eventually came to rest on the roof of one of the vehicles, while part of the car wash infrastructure was also damaged.
The footage appeared so unusual that some viewers questioned whether it had been generated by artificial intelligence. However, police confirmed that the incident was real.
Officers said the driver collided with a Ford and a Peugeot and damaged equipment at the car wash. She was breathalyzed and found to be sober.
Police issued her a fine, gave her 10 penalty points, and confiscated the vehicle’s registration certificate.
No injuries were reported in the information provided by police.
