700kg WWII #bomb safely detonated after discovery in #Slovakia
Slovakian police have destroyed a large bomb dating from World War II, after the weapon was found in the drought-hit Danube River. Bomb disposal experts, in cooperation with firefighters, have successfully loaded a 700-kilogram British aerial bomb onto a specially modified fire truck equipped with a sand bed to ensure its safe transport. The bomb was then transported to a predetermined safe location, where experts placed it in a pit approximately five meters deep and neutralized it with a controlled detonation.
