7.4-Magnitude Earthquake Violently Shakes Colombia Apartment

A Cali resident captured the terrifying moment her apartment shook violently and household items fell as a magnitude-7.4 earthquake struck Colombia on Monday, Aug. 10. The quake, which struck near San José del Palmar in Chocó at 7:34 a.m., was reportedly the country’s strongest in a decade and was followed by two aftershocks. Authorities said at least 111 people were killed and 87 injured, with others reported missing.
