‘We need to prioritise cheaper energy’: Nationals scrap 2050 net zero target

Nationals Leader David Littleproud has announced that the Nationals are dumping their net zero commitments.

“Our party room has got to the unanimous decision of scrapping net zero commitments by 2050,” Mr Littleproud said.

“I, a little while ago, informed the Opposition Leader, Sussan Ley, of the National Party’s decision.

“What we want to do is be responsible, be better in terms of the policy.”
