‘They’re on the side of war’: Putin claims Europe’s rejecting a chance of peace

Russian President Vladimir Putin has taken aim at European officials, claiming they are jeopardising their chance at peace.

Putin has made remarks stating Russia remains firm on its war goals and is sceptical of European influence on negotiations.

“They have no peace agenda. They are on the side of war,” Mr Putin said.

“We are not planning to fight Europe, I have said this a hundred times, but if Europe suddenly decides to wage war against us and starts it, we are ready right now.”
