Poland shoots down Russian drones

Poland scrambled its own and Nato air defences to shoot down drones in its airspace on September 10, 2025, calling the violation an act of aggression. The country’s military command has placed its forces on full alert and temporarily closed several airports after “hostile objects” repeatedly violated Polish airspace during the Russian attack across the border in western Ukraine. The incident marks the first time Warsaw has got involved in the war in its neighbouring nation.
