NMB authorities increase police visibility on the roads
The Nelson Mandela Metro authorities in the Eastern Cape have issued a stern warning to motorists who disobey the rules of the road over the Easter Weekend.
Over 6200 drivers have been arrested for speed violations and 21 for drunk driving in the Metro.
The metro has heightened law enforcement visibility on the roads to ensure the safety of both motorists and pedestrians.
Executive Mayor Babalwa Lobishe has called on residents and visitors to take personal responsibility for their safety.
