Khoi and San communities fight for more recognition
Khoi and San communities say they are unhappy with the lack of progress made following a Human Rights Commission investigative report released almost eight years ago.
The report, released in 2017, recommended, among other,s that the word Coloured should be scrapped from official documents, Khoi and San leaders be recognised and steps be taken to protect and conserve the languages. The Human Rights Commission and various government departments gave an update at Upington in the Northern Cape today (Tuesday).
