“There will be issues, there will be differences, but we cannot afford to allow disputes to split Asean apart,” Prime Minister Lawrence Wong shared his take on a wide range of issues at the end of the 47th Asean Summit. He said tariff talks were omitted at the summit as Asean focused on unity as a bloc, and expressed optimism on expanding Asean trade with new partners like Latin America and Africa.
