NATO Launches New Operation After Russian Drone Incursion Over Poland

NATO announced it will deploy a new operation called “Eastern Sentry” to bolster Europe’s defenses against Russia. Russian drones were shot down in Polish airspace on Sept. 9, and went as far as 150-miles deep into the NATO nation.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at least 19 objects entered the country’s airspace, with the Russian drones shot down in areas much deeper into Poland than at any previous incident during the Ukraine war.
