FBI releases images of suspect in Charlie Kirk shooting

US investigators have released images and surveillance camera footage of a person of interest in the fatal shooting of prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk in the state of Utah. The 31-year-old author, podcast host and close ally of US President Donald Trump was killed on September 10, 2025, by a single gunshot to the neck as he was speaking during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University. Authorities also announced the discovery of a bolt-action rifle believed to have been used in the killing.
