Mashatile VIP protection case continues
The defence in the case against former VIP protectors of Deputy President Paul Mashatile wants the viral video depicting them allegedly assaulting civilians to be excluded as evidence in the trial. The eight men brought a section 174 application in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court to have charges against them withdrawn, saying the state has no case against them. They are facing several charges, including assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, pointing a firearm and malicious damage to property.
