Sussan Ley apologises to Indian community


Opposition leader Sussan Ley has apologised to Indian Australians over Jacinta Nampijinpa Price’s remarks after sacking the senator from the Opposition frontbench.

Price falsely claimed the federal government was prioritising Indian migrants to bolster its vote last week and refused to apologise on Wednesday, when she also refused to endorse Ley’s leadership.

Nationals senator Bridget McKenzie said Ley ultimately had “no choice” but to dump Price over her failure to endorse her as leader.
