‘State-sponsored gift voucher’: UK considers paying asylum seekers to leave
Reform UK Councillor Darren Grimes criticises the UK government’s immigration “solution”, which is considering increasing asylum seeker payments.
“This is their solution to say to so-called asylum seekers, well, we’ll pay you to leave,” Mr Grimes told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.
“If you are here illegally, frankly, you ought to go … you should of never been allowed to stay.
“Only in Britain could a failure to actually police your own border turn into a state-sponsored gift voucher.”
