Zelenskyy faces Trump peace plan pressure from US | G20 world leaders meet | Fire halts COP30 talks
Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to hold talks with Donald Trump in the coming days after the latest US proposal to end the war was presented to the Ukrainian President.
The deal, drafted without Kyiv’s involvement, would require huge territorial concessions by Ukraine, and curbs on its armed forces – meaning it’s highly unlikely that President Zelenskyy could ever agree to it in its current form.
Europe is pushing back on the proposal, warning the peace plan, as it stands, is a ‘capitulation’.
