Rizwan Arshad flags concerns over E20 plus petrol
Karnataka Minister Rizwan Arshad has raised concerns over ethanol blending levels exceeding the E20 limit in petrol, warning of potential compatibility issues for vehicles. Citing laboratory findings from 63 fuel samples collected across Karnataka, Arshad said 99% of vehicles may not be equipped to handle ethanol concentrations above 20%. He also flagged the risk of damage to fuel-system components, including rubber parts, hoses, seals and gaskets.
