Pete Hegseth responds to impeachment efforts
US defence secretary Pete Hegseth has called expected Democrat moves to impeach him the result of an “obsession with political theatre” disguised as power, in a video posted to X.
“… it’s all about the politics of personal destruction,” Hegseth said.
Hegseth defended his efforts to dismantle diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies in the military.
“Diversity is not our strength,” he said.
