Hong Kong court adds 10 years to democracy activist Joshua Wong’s sentence | DW News
Hong Kong democracy activist Joshua Wong has been sentenced to 10 more years in jail on charges of “colluding with foreign powers.” It’s the second time he’s been penalized under the Bejing-imposed national security law. Wong became internationally renowned during the “Umbrella Movement” that swept Hong Kong in 2014. The 30-year-old has already spent nearly six years behind bars. Now he’s not due for release until late 2036. DW speaks to Joshua Wong’s friend and fellow activist in exile Glacier Kwong.
