An Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputy gave a group of tourists “the full Florida experience” when they saw him wrangle an alligator with his bare hands on Saturday, October 31.
Bodycam footage released by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office shows the deputy grab the gator with his bare hands on Blake Boulevard in Kissimmee. The deputy tapes up the reptile and places it in the back of his patrol car.
A small crowd gathered to take photos of the deputy and the alligator before he released it into a nearby wetland.
“They came for the attractions – they got the full Florida experience,” the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook. “Remember never to approach, feed, or handle an alligator, and keep kids and pets away from the water’s edge. The deputy on show has prior alligator experience.”
