Mallikarjun Kharge on INDIA Bloc’s motion against CEC Gyanesh Kumar
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the INDIA bloc’s motion against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar aims to safeguard the dignity of constitutional institutions and ensure the impartial functioning of the Election Commission.
Speaking at the INDIA bloc’s symbolic public impeachment programme, Kharge said the move was not driven by any personal grudge against the CEC but was intended to preserve public trust in the Election Commission. He also stressed the need to protect the voting rights of vulnerable sections, women and young people.
