Shark activity expected following Queensland’s wild weather
As Queensland’s iconic beaches are battered by wild weather, experts fear they’ve become the perfect breeding ground for sharks.
The state government says recent downpours, strong winds, and murky waters all bring sharks into closer contact with swimmers and surfers, adding to the risk of attacks.
As weather heats up, bull sharks are expected to move further south towards Greater Sydney, while great whites follow their food sources to Victoria and Tasmania.
