‘Thula’ turns loud as Banda Banda breaks silence
A song about peace, silence and inner calm has sparked anything but quiet.
In this Daily Sun interview, musician and producer Banda Banda breaks his silence on the growing dispute surrounding his song Thula and singer Zoë Modiga. He opens up about how the song was written, why the remix happened, and why a track about stillness has become the centre of a public feud between two longtime collaborators.
While Banda Banda says he believes the matter can still be resolved, Zoë says she had no prior knowledge of the remix release and that her legal team is handling it.
Thula was written in 2020, released in June 2025, and the remix dropped on 4 September 2026. But the noise around it is far from over.
