Witness 2 in Stanfield and co-accused trial takes the stand

The state has called a second witness in the trial of alleged underworld kingpin, Ralph Stanfield in the Western Cape High Court.

Stanfield, alongside his wife, Nicole Johnson, and 12 co-accused face numerous charges including murder, as well as charges under the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.

The state alleges, among others, that the accused were involved in the December 2019 murder of gang leader, Rashied Staggie and the murder of City of Cape Town official, Wendy Kloppers.

Stanfield has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.
