Minister Majodina on SA’s water infrastucture, supply
Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina says more than 90% of South Africa’s water is safe to drink, despite concerns over ageing infrastructure and unreliable supply.
She was speaking at a media briefing in Bronkhorstpruit, east of Pretoria, amid reported gastrointestinal illness cases.
Eight-hundred and thirty-three cases have been confirmed, with 328 of those being children up to four years of age.
