New recruits graduate from Army Indigenous Development Program

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recruits have graduated from a four-month course designed to prepare them for service in the Australian Army. The Indigenous Development Program builds participants’ literacy, numeracy, and physical fitness, while fostering teamwork, discipline, and leadership. The initiative forms part of defence’s broader commitment to Closing the Gap and increasing First Nations representation across the Australian Defence Force.
