Family of Helen Haines reveals MP’s both legs have been amputated
The husband of Independent MP Helen Haines, Phil Haines, has confirmed Haines’ second leg has been amputated, despite the best efforts of doctors.
Phil said that despite this development, “the good news is Helen is alive, and she is stable”.
Phil thanked Australians for their outpouring of support and encouraged donations to Save the Children.
