Lindsay Clancy’s defense attorney said he was encouraged Tuesday that jurors continued working after telling the judge they could not reach a unanimous verdict.

The jury reported its inability to reach a unanimous decision about an hour into Tuesday’s deliberations. The judge instructed them to continue, and they deliberated for several more hours before being sent home for the day.
