Six Flags Over Georgia roller coaster death remains under investigation
A memorial of flowers and a balloon marks the fence at Six Flags Over Georgia as the Cobb County theme park prepares to reopen under the shadow of a fatal accident investigation. According to our partners at FOX 5 Atlanta, gates at the park will open Friday at 6 p.m. for Fright Fest, however the towering Goliath roller coaster will sit silent. Officials have yet to disclose the specific mechanical or procedural factors that caused one death and multiple injuries. The current medical conditions of the four injured young riders have not been made public. LiveNOW’s Shanwa Khalafi is learning more about the ongoing investigation with Dr. Kenneth Solomon, Chief Scientist at the Institute of Risk & Safety Analyses.
