More than 50 found chained at unregistered rehab centre in MP
More than 50 people have reportedly been found chained and allegedly starved at an unregistered rehabilitation centre in Waterval B, near Siyabuswa, Mpumalanga.
A pastor and his wife allegedly run the facility, which treats people seeking healing. Authorities reportedly found several people being held against their, will following a tip-off from the Department of Social Development. Some of those who were unchained managed to escape using a step ladder. Police remain at the scene.
