Hongkong Post said it would no longer offer permanent civil servant contracts to new hires, citing persistent financial losses. Instead, staff who pass a probationary period will receive a two-year contract, with renewals subject to operational needs. The move comes as the city’s official postal service records its eighth consecutive year of deficits.
