Republicans express concern over control of Congress ahead of midterms, expert warns

News24 US election expert Remy Numa discussed the increasing Republican concern about potentially losing control of both the House and the Senate in the upcoming November midterm elections.

“The stakes of these midterms with the president’s legacy on the line,” Mr Numa told News24.

“On the defensive side, we know that the president’s approval rating is down quite a bit; he’s about 30 points underwater.

“On the other side, you can look at the democratic party, and how they’ve been languishing with fundraising; their party is in debt at a national level.”
