SA Education | Outrage over vacant posts amid high unemployment
Some of the country’s labour representatives, have expressed outrage at the more than 27 000 vacant teaching posts, while the country is battling with high unemployment levels.
The figure was revealed by the Minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube in a written parliamentary reply from the Patriotic Alliance.
She says the figure was as the end of June this year, but it changes continously as posts become vacant they are also filled and updated.
