The Society of Midwives of South Afrca | Call for more trained midwives in South Africa

The Society of Midwives of South Afrca has made a call to the Department of Health to step in and strengthen the profession.

This as trained midwives continue to leave the country, seeking better opportunities in other countries.

A three-day congress held in Bloemfontein in the Free State will also discuss initiatives to address the imbalanced ratio between midwives and patients.
