How has the Ceuta crisis impacted EU solidarity on migration?

European leaders have given mixed reactions to the Ceuta migration crisis, which saw roughly 70,000 people rush across the border into Spain’s North African exclave across 30 July and 31 July.

Other European leaders have since commended Madrid’s response to the incident, but how has the fallout impacted EU unity on irregular migration?
