13 drug mules nabbed in KLIA anti-drug ops, says Bukit Aman

Bukit Aman’s Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) says 13 suspected drug mules – five Malaysians and seven foreigners – were arrested at KLIA in a special operation between July 27 and 31, with drugs worth RM21.26 million seized.

NCID director Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan revealed KLIA drug seizures have surged from RM18.4 million last year to RM108.3 million so far this year, as European demand drives syndicates to use the airport as a trafficking hub.
